Last night, I bought my ticket and had good vibes so I thought this was it- I would win the Powerball jackpot. Well, it didn't happen.  And, like most people didn't even match one number.  So, I guess that means I wait til Monday to score 472 million (and climbing) when I buy my ticket for the Powerball Jackpot.  If the jackpot stays at 472 million, that means the cash option its still 342 million-not too shabby.  And, this is no mistake, recently, the Powerball added can extra drawing on Monday nights so another chance to win! Speaking of chances - the odds of winning the Powerball are 1 in 292 million. So to quote Jim Carrey's Lloyd Christmas in "Dumb and Dumber" - "So you're saying there's chance!" The Powerball is played in 44 states, but that doesn't really effect the odds.  In order calculate the odds of winning any lottery, you divide the number of winning lottery numbers by the total number of possible lottery numbers. So, there is some lottery math for you. Just in case you played last night and want to check your number for non-jackpot winnings, here are the numbers from the draw...
