WHY I THINK THE POLTERGEIST HAS A CURSE:
Alongside the manufactured thrills, you also get a ride car that feels like it vibrates more than it should. There are loud mechanical noises that make you feel as if you shouldn't be there, and the ride just looks old, which makes for a much more intense ride. It is also always 'broken down.' The ride was built in 1999 and received a fresh coat of paint in 2009. So is the ride cursed? Probably not, however, the name of the ride makes it kind of believable.
HAS THE NEW LOOK BROKEN THE 'CURSE'
For the first time, the Polgergiest ride was OPEN. What a rare occasion.  It even had a new look with fresh paint and a new ride queue. It appears the Poltergeist is back to full force. Take a look at the difference.

On a recent trip to Fiesta Texas, I saw the construction of a new coaster and it looks awesome!  When it opens the 'Dr. Diabolical's Cliffhanger' will be the world's steepest dive coaster. On that same trip, I also saw that the Poltergeist ride and been redone and was actually running, which is a rare occurrence.  Check out the updated look on the photo below:

THE NEW 'CLIFFHANGER' COASTER:

The Cliffhanger will be located across from the Iron Rattler is located in the park, if you are familiar with the layout. The concrete pillars are have already been constructed.  When finished it will be 'three sleek 21-passenger trains, 2,501 feet of soaring track, a thrilling face-first Cliffhanger hold prior to a beyond-vertical 95-degree first drop, multiple inversions, extreme airtime, and an immersive steampunk story starring Dr. Diabolical and her plot to harvest adrenaline and fear. Check out the concept are for the new ride.
