Panic! At the Disco Deal With Problematic Puppet in ‘Dancing’s Not a Crime’ Video
We all have that one friend who doesn't know when to cut back on the partying. For Panic! At the Disco's Brendon Urie, his friend is the Amazing Beebo, the singer's puppet alter-ego who takes things a little too far at one of the band's shows. But hey, at least Beebo gets to star in the Panic! at the Disco video for "Dancing's Not a Crime."
In the Brandon Dermer-directed clip, we see the puppet rise, make his way to the concert venue and go behind the scenes of rehearsal, hang out with Brendon while he's writing and recording and eventually start partying it up with fans at the show. But, a little partying goes too far and Brendon's puppet pal ends up missing out on a good time while incurring the singer's wrath. Watch it play out in the video above.
For The Amazing Beebo, this is his second appearance in a Panic! clip, previously turning up in the video for "Hey Look Ma, I Made It." That track continues to thrive at Alt Rock radio and is the third single from the Pray for the Wicked album.
"Dancing's Not a Crime" should now get some solid attention, with the track being one of the more lively songs in concert as well. You can catch Brendon and Panic! at the Disco, though maybe not Beebo after this recent incident, at shows in Europe carrying over into April. See the current dates listed here.
