8 Back-to-School Routines Texas Parents Quickly Quit
The first week of school in Texas feels like a fresh start.
- freshly folded clothes
- perfectly labeled supplies
- fridge stocked with breakfast foods
We tell ourselves, 'This year, I’ve got it together,' and for a few glorious days, we do.
We’re waking up early enough to make a healthy breakfast and still getting the kids out the door with time to spare. Their hair is neat, and even their outfits match; it's a good start to the day.
Fast forward a few weeks, and homework starts piling up, drop-offs get later, dinner gets simpler, and we completely forget to sign their daily folder. The new school year honeymoon phase ends.
Reality kicks back in.
School just started, and I'm going to be honest, I'm already tired of making cute lunches, but I can't be the only one, right?

Start strong, fizzle fast.
We're all in the same boat, though. Here are the most common habits we try to form but quickly let slip through our fingers. If you’ve been there, you’re in good company.
Let us know in the app what the things are that you try to stick to every school year but just can't keep up.
