Rihanna Sues After $6.9 Million Home Is Damaged By Rain

In 2009, Rihanna paid $6.9 for a Beverly Hills mansion that was, apparently, not waterproof.

According to a lawsuit the singer filed Wednesday in Los Angeles Superior Court, her new digs suffered numerous leaks when it was hit with a ‘moderate rainstorm” in January of 2010, causing serious damage.

Rihanna is now seeking restitution  from the property’s former owner for not telling her about the “major defects,” and because ”the actual value of the property at the time of purchase, taking into consideration the extensive construction defects … was millions of dollars less” than she paid for it.

Until this case is resolved, might we suggests Rihanna invest in a giant umbrella, ella, ella.
