A concerned employee at Starbucks is going viral, for all the right reasons.

ACTING STRANGE

An employee at a Starbucks in Corpus Christi was in the middle of a shift when she noticed something strange.

An 18-year-old female was sitting by herself at the Corpus Starbucks. An older man approached the female, who was sitting alone, and began to start a conversation. Brandy Roberson, the woman’s mother, described the man as someone who approached her daughter 'actively and strangely.'

DISCRETELY CHECKING IN

Starbucks employees noticed the pair talking but something did not sit right, that's when they discretely stepped in to make sure the woman was not in harm's way.

An employee approach the woman and slide her a drink claiming it was "an extra hot chocolate someone forgot to pick up."

ARE YOU OKAY?

The woman accepted the drink and notices a message discretely written on the back that read, "Are you okay? Do you want us to intervene? If you do, take the lid off the cup."

In a news report, Roberson said 'her daughter did not feel threatened and ultimately did not remove the lid, though she was appreciative of the careful gesture.'

A WONDERFUL GESTURE

"I absolutely feel safer knowing that people are watching out for others, especially teenage girls," Roberson wrote to Fox in a Facebook message. "I do not feel this was sexist in any way. I truly believe that they would have done it for anyone who was in a vulnerable situation, regardless of gender."

Way to go to the employees at Starbucks for looking out for their customers and actively making sure they are safe.
