Texas Woman Killed in Extreme ‘Exorcism’
There's always that one story that has you questioning humanity. A 23-year-old man in Fort Worth, Texas has been arrested after allegedly killing his own mother in what he told police was an “exorcism.”
According to a report, Alexander Taylor Valdez was taken into custody early Friday morning after police responded to a disturbing tip. The caller said they'd received a Snapchat photo showing a woman lying on the floor, covered in blood.
When officers arrived at the home, Valdez answered the door and they were about to walk into one of the most unsettling crime scenes. Valdez was reportedly covered in blood from head to toe and holding a Bible. He calmly told police, “It was an exorcism,” and then sat down outside.
What Police Found Inside the Home
Inside the house, officers discovered 58-year-old Teresita Sayson, Valdez’s mother, dead in the bedroom. The report detailed the significant trauma done to her upper body. A deceased dog was also found nearby.
There was also a broken jewelry box, covered in blood and what police believe is Sayson's hair.
Police say Valdez admitted to them that he had been “doing witchcraft to kill his mom,” and confirmed there was a body inside.
A Snapchat Group Chat Became Part of the Investigation
The photos sent on Snapchat quickly became evidence. Valdez apparently sent photos of his mother's body to various friends which triggered a call to the police, and some people even showed up at Valdez' house.
He’s currently in Tarrant County Jail on a $750,000 bond.
