Russell Brand is famous -- make that infamous -- for his cheeky humor. But not all of his jokes go over well (and not just the ones about Katy Perry). That was especially true at the GQ Men of the Year Awards in London on Tuesday (Sept. 3), when his commentary got him kicked out. What happened?

There are a slew of rumors as to why Katy Perry and comedian and actor Russell Brand didn’t last, ranging from their relatively short courtship (they were married for 14 months, but dated for less than a year before tying the knot) to insinuations of his infidelity and her over-the-top partying. But now a new point has been made: Brand wanted kids, and Perry wanted a career.

While Russell Brand is usually pretty genial and cordial, even when discussing his divorce from Katy Perry, he wasn’t so friendly when U.K. talk show host Graham Norton quizzed him on the split.

He offered several positive sentiments about the ‘Part of Me’ singer and then hung out with Ellen’s favorite mini correspondents, Sophia Grace and Rosie.
