After raping two women and murdering a young father in Texas, one Houston man is finally locked away and sitting behind bars.

On February 20, 2015, two women moving into a Houston apartment would have their lives changed forever. The women's apartment was near Scott's home and he took notice. As the two women were moving things they were approached by Scott. Shockingly, Scott pointed a gun at them and proceeded to rape both women.

Nearly a year later, Scott was arrested for the double rape however, he was quickly released on a $30,000 bond. 

Scott went to trial on April 21, 2017, and pleaded guilty to aggravated sexual assault. He was set to receive sentencing on June 16, 2017, however, investigators were about to hit Scott with another serious allegation.

Investigators gathered evidence linking Scott to a homicide back in October 2015. Just eight months after committing a double rape, Scott shot and killed a young father. 

The victim, 20-year-old Dedrick Coleman, was walking home from a neighborhood store when Scott suddenly appeared with a gun. Scott shot and killed Coleman, in the process of taking his money and cell phone. Coleman was the father of a 2-year-old boy.

FINALLY RECEIVES SENTENCING

Willie Robert Scott has finally received his final sentencing, nearly eight years after committing his devious crimes. He was convicted of sexual assault and capital murder. He has been sentenced to 60 years for the murder and 60 years for the sexual assault, which he will serve concurrently.

"This defendant, who raped two women by gunpoint and shot a young father for money, was a threat to the community and deserves to spend decades in prison," Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg said.
