
Small Crash Turns Into Violent Shooting at Houston Gas Station
A man was attacked and shot at in a West Houston gas station parking lot after a small car bump, police are currently searching for the shooter.
An accidental gas station wreck
It happened on Monday night around 11 p.m. at a gas station near Synott and Ashford. Police said the situation got violent fast after a car accident.
Surveillance video shows the victim accidentally backing into the suspect’s car in the gas pump area.
This led to a heated argument, which quickly turned into violence. The victim was punched, kicked, and chased across the parking lot by the suspect and two other people. After almost a minute of being beaten, the victim managed to escape.
Things quickly escalate
The victim jumped into his car and tried to drive off, but the suspect wasn’t done. The shooter pulled out a gun and fired twice at the car, hitting the victim’s vehicle but not injuring him.
Luckily, the victim was only grazed by the bullets and is expected to be okay. The other people in the victim’s car were unharmed.
Police say the situation was intense, with the victim just trying to get away. "It is pretty intense. It is the complainant, our victim, just trying to get away from the situation," Lt. Ali said.
Now, investigators are hoping that anyone who saw the fight or was nearby can help track down the shooter and his friends.
