RIPPED FROM BUC-EE'S PAWS

Earlier this month we announced Texas was getting its Buc-ee's world record ripped away from its paws. A new Tennessee location is set to open its own Buc-ee's store that boasted an extra 10,000 feet bigger than the world's largest convenience store, which is happily settled in New Braunfels, Texas.

A LITTLE DISRESPECTFUL, BUT OKAY.

We found it a little disrespectful that a non-Texas location would snatch the world record from our beloved convenience store, however, we are happy to announce Texas is taking action.

THE MASSIVE TENNESSEE LOCATION

When a Tennessee Buc-ee's announced its store would cover 74,000 square feet and have 120 fueling stations, it meant the New Braunfels location would no longer hold the title of the biggest convenience store. However, Texas took no time to snap back with the announcement of an even bigger store in Luling-take that Tennesse!

THE PROJECT BEGINS SOON

Construction on the new Luling location will begin in Fall 2022. Buc-ee's said the project is being built through a partnership with the City of Luling, the Luling Economic Development Corporation, and Caldwell County.

Luling has a longstanding relationship with Buc-ee's. "Twenty years ago, Beaver and Don had the gumption to change the industry by building the first Buc-ee's Family Travel Center in Luling," said Stan Beard, director of Buc-ee's real estate, in a press release.

HELPING THE ECONOMY

The new store in Luling is set to provide 200 jobs to the area and employees will have the chance to earn full benefits and starting pay "well above minimum wage," according to a release.

It's a relief to know a Texas-based Buc-ee's will continue to hold the 'world largest convenience store' title.
