Texas Mother of 5 Horrifically Ran Over and Dragged Over 30 Feet
A 28-year-old mother of five from San Antonio was killed after being run over by a driver outside her home while defending her daughter, who was reportedly being bullied by kids from school.
BULLIES APPROACH VICTIMS HOME
"My granddaughter was being bullied by kids from school," Ana Blanco, Lopez's mother, described what she says happened just a moment before Lopez was hit.
According to her mother, a group of kids trying to bully Lopez's 11-year-old daughter showed up at her home. Lopez stepped up to defend her daughter. However, at some point, another adult appeared.
ADULTS BEGAN TO FIGHT
36-year-old Pennie Gomez appeared during the commotion and soon, a fight broke out between Gomez and Lopez. Things escalated and Gomez jumped into a silver Hyundai Sonata what she did next was unimaginable.
HORRIFIC AND VIOLENT ACTIONS
Once inside the car, Gomez targeted Lopez and drove toward her. Lopez and another individual were struck by the car. According to a report, after Lopez ran the woman over, a witness began banging on the Hyundai's window, trying to alert Lopez that there was someone trapped underneath her car.
The witness tried to lift the car off Lopez but Gomez quickly took off, dragging Lopez's body up to 30 feet. Tragically, Lopez was pronounced dead at the scene.
HEARTBREAKING ENDING
Pennie Gomez, 36, is now facing charges of murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Such a tragic ending for a mother who was only trying to protect her young daughter from extremely serious bullying.
