Every year car enthusiasts gather at the track and watch these drivers show out, and it's always a blast. TX2K21 starts Wednesday, March 17, and will go through Sunday, the 21st. The races are broken down into drag racing and roll racing. Drag racing is your typical race, two cars against each other starting from a dead stop. On the other hand, Roll races are a bit different; races start at a 'roll,' typically at TX2K, that sweet spot is around 65mph.  https://youtu.be/2dHqhLZRxQo

But going to TX2K isn't just about watching other people race; there is an entirely different side to 2K for those who aren't running their car on the track. Starting from the time you wake up till the time you go to sleep, 2K has your agenda booked. The morning car enthusiasts meet up beforehand and head out to the track together in giants groups of cars. Just driving along the highway with an army of people in similar vehicles with similar passions is a feeling you just can't replace. Once at 2K, you can walk around and get some pretty sick footage of the event. Of course, there are a good amount of vendors where you can buy some sick gear and get some goodies to-go. Many locals in the crossroads are getting ready, making sure every detail of their car is checked. Whether they are racing or meeting up and showing off their ride, this event attracts locals and people nationally.

Dont forget, if you plan on going and want to take your experience to the next level, there are plenty of local businesses in the Crossroads that can help you out. If you need your car looking as fresh and clean as possible, there are a few options here in the Crossroads. AJ's Detailing is a local favorite in the car scene. This guy has been treating cars right for a long time; give him a shout if you need your ride looking good before you head out to the track. If you're looking for a quick detail or a vigorous clean, AJ'd got you covered; he even offers ceramic coating. You know we love us a good deal, so be sure to mention TX2K and the radio station for an extra 15% off your service! Give him a call at 281-732-7939 or visit his Instagram or Facebook for more information.

Once you have your car looking sick, you know you're going to wanna show it off. One of the sickest photographers in the crossroads will be out at TX2K and is booking shoots for the event whether you want a photoshoot of your car or a sick video showing off every angle of your ride. You can hit up @Auto.focused on Instagram, Facebook or just give him a call at (361)433-1552.

Bookings are getting filled quickly as TX2K21 approaches fast, so be sure to hit these businesses up to get you locked and loaded for a week of fast and rowdy times. Crossroads is going down, so buckle up and get ready for some much-needed fun. TX2K will be at the Houston Raceway Park in Baytown; if you plan on heading that way, you can get tickets online HERE. If you plan on staying overnight for multiple days, TX2K has partnered with area hotels that are offering special pricing for groups during TX2K21; check out more information on the TX2K21 website.
