Each week Townsquare Media and UHV will feature an athlete. This week our Athlete of the Week is Cole Urban.

 Player: Cole Urban, third baseman

Hometown: Victoria, Texas

High School/Previous School: Victoria East High School

Statistics for the Week: Compiled a .455 batting average in three games going 5-for-11 at the plate to lead the Jaguars. He had a .455 slugging percentage and a .455 on-base percentage while also scoring a run and driving in a run as the Jaguars went 2-2 against Our Lady of the Lake.

What advice would you give to a younger player about the sport you are involved in that would help them improve? Hard work beats talent.

What is you background and experience in the sport you participate in? I have been playing since I was 3 years old. I have played from T-ball to college.

What is the song you like to hear for your walk-up music or that gets you into the mood for the game? Johnny Cash’s Folsom Prison Blues
