While the University of Houston-Victoria Women's Golf Team is celebrating a trip to the NAIA Nationals, sophomore Heather Shake has been named first team All-American.

Shake has won three individual titles this year, finishing in the top five in four other events, wrapping up the season with a scoring average of 72.71 in eight events.

It also marks the second straight year that Shake earned All-American honors from the NAIA, which named her to the second team last year.

Shake not  only won the UHV Fall Classic with a 14-under par 202 rounds with a 69-66-67 but, she also scored a win in the Trinity Alamo Classic with a 1-over 143 and, a second straight individual title at the PGA Minority Collegiate Golf Championships in Florida, going 2-under par 212.
