Baseball fans, we have great news! Pretty much 1 month from today, most MLB teams will have started their spring training schedules! Spring isn't all that far away!

Having grown up in the midwest I was raised on Chicago Cubs baseball and have always been a huge fan of the game. So I was pretty happy to see that Victoria, Texas is home to the Victoria Generals of the Texas Collegiate League.

Just days ago, Crossroadstoday.com reported that the team announced 4 signings that are sure to have an impact on this year's squad who's season begins on May 28th.

Let's give a big Crossroads Welcome to the newest members of the Generals! 1st baseman Trevor Rugg joins the team from West Monroe, LA. Bryce Grizzaffi will be joining the team from Morgan City, LA, and split time in the infield and behind the plate. The Generals have added some new arms as well. Right-hander Dalton Aspholm from Baton Rouge and right-hander Matt Flowers from Fulshear, Texas will be on the bump for Victoria this season.

The 48 game season will see the Generals playing at home 24 times. The home opener at Riverside Stadium happens on May 31st when the Generals take on last year's TCL champs the Brazos Valley Bombers. You can find the team's full schedule at www.victoriagenerals.com.   Fans can buy season tickets by calling 361-485-9522.
