Pitching was the key for the Victoria Generals, who edged the Acadiana Cane Cutters 2-1 yesterday.
Stuart Springer notched the victory, going 6 full innings, while Brett Burrington wrapped up the game in the final 3. Springer threw 5 shutout innings giving up just 3 hits, but in the 6th, it was errors that allowed the Cane Cutters their only run.
