Don’t Miss It: Free Halloween Fun Hits Victoria Tomorrow!
If your costume’s been hanging in the closet since September and you’ve already eaten half the candy meant for trick-or-treaters, consider this your official green light: Halloween hits Victoria early this year!
On Wednesday, October 22, from 5 to 9 PM, the Victoria Community Center is transforming into a full-on trick-or-treater’s dreamland packed with candy, crafts, and just the right amount of spooky- ALL FOR FREE!
Celebrate Halloween Inside the Victoria Community Center
Inside the Dome, more than 55 local businesses will be handing out candy, toys, and sweet surprises. Think of it as the ultimate Halloween jackpot, minus the whole walking door-to-door part. Parents, this is your win: it’s safe, it’s indoors, and it’s got air conditioning.
Then there’s the Haunted House in the Annex; it's creepy enough to keep the bigger kids on edge but not too scary for the little ones who still think ghosts are kind of cute. (It’s recommended for ages 12 and up unless you’ve got a brave little sidekick tagging along.)
If jump scares aren’t your thing, no worries. The Victoria Public Library will be set up with pumpkin painting so you can leave with your very own Halloween masterpiece.
Strut Your Stuff in the Costume Contest
One of the biggest events of the night is the Costume Contest, and judges will be watching for the most creative, creepiest, and downright jaw-dropping looks.
The contest is divided into categories so everyone has a chance to shine on stage:
- Ages 0–5
- Ages 6–10
- Ages 11–15
- Ages 16+
- Duo/Group (must choose between entering the group/duo or individual contest)
We can't wait to see you on Wednesday, October 22, at the Victoria Community Center.
Big thanks to DeTar Medical Group, Jag Metals, Townsquare Media, and the City of Victoria for making it all happen!
