It's that time of year again. True Texas traditions; Friday night lights, homecoming dances and mums, lots and lots of mums. In fact when it comes to mums the bigger the better. In fact, Texas mums have just become TikTok viral!

Y'all. If you are not from Texas, you might not understand this MADNESS.

It's the extreme Southern homecoming mum and every year they don't just get bigger they get even more expensive. I mean come on, who in their right mind would spend hundreds of dollars on hot glued ribbons? Well, Texans would of course!

Because EVERYTHING IS BIGGER IN TEXAS!

A TikTok video highlighting the real cost of being a Texan is going viral. The video features high schoolers from all over various Texas high schools showcasing their elaborate mums and flexing a bit on the price they paid for their mums. Or most likely, what their parents paid for their mum! It will boggle the mind of every Yankee out there.

Victoria East Homecoming is scheduled for Friday, October 8th.

Victoria West Homecoming is scheduled for Friday, October 15th.

St. Joseph High School Homecoming is scheduled for November 6th.

The actual dances for these events are being hosted by parents this year so if additional information is needed, please reach out to individual high schools for parental contact information.
