Winter showed up a little late but it's hitting us hard in the Crossroads this weekend.

Texas weather has a mind of it's own, we all know that by now. It was starting to seem like we were skipping winter but finally, the cold is making it's way to Victoria, and brace yourself because it's hitting us hard.

Personally, I stay indoors once the temperature drops into the 60s so, it's safe to say, I'll be indoors this weekend with the heat cranked up to 80. The weather throughout the weekday might be tolerable, we're talking anywhere between high 50s to low 70s, not too bad but it's the weekend that has me worries.

The weekend starts off in the 50s but mix in a few clouds and some raindrops and we're in for a chilly ride. The National Weather Service is predicting a low of 28 on Saturday and Sunday. Miserable, just miserable, unless you like that kind of thing, then by all means, enjoy it while it lasts.

As cold and muggy as it might get, there hasn't been a chance of snow indicated. Which is a bummer, if it gets that miserably cold we should at least be rewarded with some snow, but I'm not telling mother nature how to do her job.

Either way, brace for cold weather and if you are in a vulnerable situation and need help getting access to warmth during the freezing weather, please reach out and we will get you in contact with local resources.
