Can you believe Back to School is JUST ABOUT A MONTH AWAY?!
This might come as a shock to kids and PARENTS alike, but it's true, for most families in the Crossroads, back to school is just around the corner! Where does the time go???
Before we get to back-to-school dates, every Texan parent should make note of this!
Texas Tax-Free Weekend this year is August 6th through the 8th. This is the time each year when parents can shop for supplies for back to school without having to pay the tax on supplies and other items.
We will give you a gallery below of some of the tax-free items you can buy during the tax-free weekend, but first, IT'S BACK TO SCHOOL!
For St. Joseph High School students in Victoria, high school returns in less than a month, with classes starting on Tuesday, August 10th. But good news, it's early dismal that day. They are going to ease you back into school on your first day!
Industrial High School students will start the very next day on Wednesday, August 11th.
Nursery Independent School District also returns to school Wednesday, August 11th.
And Cuero Independent School District returns on Wednesday, August 11th as well!
Nazareth Academy will welcome students on Thursday, August 12th with early dismissal.
Our Lady of Victory will start a new week off by welcoming students on Monday, August 16th this year.
Victoria Independent School District will reopen its doors to our kiddos on Wednesday, August 18th. This school year, 2021-2022, students will be returning to campus life! They will get to enjoy two weeks off for Thanksgiving and Christmas breaks this year as well.
Trinity Episcopal School is back to school at the end of August on the 30th.
Vine Private School has a longer summer reprieve with school starting September 7th this year.
TAX-FREE WEEKEND SHOPPING
Now that we know the dates for the first day back to school for our kiddos, it's time to talk TAX-FREE WEEKEND for all those school supplies and clothes. When it comes to school supplies remember, only the school supplies on this list here priced under $100 qualify for exemption from tax during the sales tax holiday.
