It was 80s music night on 'Dancing with the Stars,' one of the only reality shows where many of the contestants are actually old enough to remember the 1980s. Yay!

The show kicked off with a live performance from The Bangles, which got everyone walking like an Egyptian and set the stage for the eight remaining couples to boogie to tunes from the decade of decadence.

Here are some highlights.

J.R. and Karina

Samba to 'Conga'

J.R. is almost inarguably the best amateur male dancer in the competition. His version of the Samba, which judge Bruno said is among the toughest for men to learn and perform well, was darned near perfect, and he was rewarded for his efforts with the highest scores of the night. Score: 9 9 10

Chaz and Lacey

Samba to 'Get Down On It'

Since judge Carrie Ann said Chaz was walking too much and dancing too little, Lacey brought in her dad Buddy, a champion swing dancer, to teach Chaz how to shake it a bit more. And it worked — Carrie Ann said it was the most dancing she'd seen him do in any routine. He's definitely getting better every week, and he's just downright adorable to boot. Score: 7 7 7

Carson and Anna

Jive to 'Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go'

Oh, where to begin. Carson and Anna were dressed as cheerleaders — pompons and all — and performed a dance that was really fun, but kind of a mess. Bruno called it “loonier than a Looney Tune,” but it's clear the judges love Carson and want him to stick around. Regardless, he got the evening's lowest marks. Score: 6 6 7
