After hours of practice on pointe, the ballerinas and dancers of Victoria are ready to inspire you to Fall for Dance.

It's the Victoria Ballet Theatres Fall for Dance one-day exclusive performance at the Leo J Welder Center for the Performing Arts on September 25th and it is a cultural community event, you don't want to miss. The one-day performance offers two shows to choose from, one at 2 pm and the second performance of the evening at 7 pm as well.

What is Fall for Dance?

According to the Victoria Ballet Theatre's website, this season's Fall for Dance features a "mixed repertory of classical and contemporary pieces highlighting the talent of our company." In addition to works by guest professional choreographers, Jill Eathorne-Bahr, we are pleased to present new works by our very own emerging choreographers.  Join us as we kick off our season with a celebration of dance in Victoria!

As a former ballet mom, I can attest to the incredible hard work and dedication it takes for those who love dance to master their craft and make their way to dance company.

If you are unfamiliar with Victoria Ballet Theatre, its mission is to both involve and enrich the community and surrounding area with outstanding performances of dance.

With performances like Fall for Dance, the Victoria Ballet Theatre not only enriches the lives of our community through performance arts but also sparks a love of dance with children throughout the area.

Nutcracker Parents are Nuts... but in a good way!

I can not tell you the time and energy these dancers and their instructors put into every single one of their performances. What I can tell you is every parent who has ever had a child in the Victoria Ballet Theatre's Nutcracker over the last thirty-plus years can attest, it is a sight to see, on stage and backstage too! I encourage you to take the time this year to see Nutcracker with your family this year as well.

There is a Youtube page dedicated to promoting the upcoming events and up-and-coming ballerinas and dancers of our community at VBT. You can check the page out here.

If you are interested in supporting the art of dance in the community or falling for dance yourself, ticket information is available here. Or you can call the box office for the Leo J Welder Center at 361-570-8587.
