Dollar Day Coming to the Texas Zoo
DOLLAR DAYS AT THE TEXAS ZOO:
The Texas Zoo is kicking off 2022 with a bang! The Texas Zoo is offering $1 admission all day on Saturday, January 15th. Every person will pay only $1 from 9-4 on Saturday, January 15th. To this day, the otters are still my favorite animal to watch.
ZOO FUN FOR THE ADULTS:
The Zoo even offers animal adventures for adults! Spend the evening at The Texas Zoo strolling through animal exhibits & eating hand-tossed pizza paired with your favorite adult beverage (BYOB)*, all while creating a one-of-a-kind art masterpiece. During the evening, you'll get to interact with one of our animal friends & have them sign your work of art before taking it home! This event is for the 21+. The deadline to reserve your spot is Monday, January 10th at midnight. Reserve your spot by clicking here.
THE TEXAS ZOO RESCUES ANIMALS:
The Texas Zoo is home to over 100 species of animals, with some native to Texas while others can only be found in remote, exotic locations around the world. A large portion of The Texas Zoo’s collection is comprised of rescue animals that could not be returned to the wild, came from owners that could no longer provide the required care, or even from a future that lead them to the meat market.
YOUR KID CAN VOLUNTEER AT THE TEXAS ZOO:
The Texas Zoo Jr. Volunteer Program is aimed at young teens (13-16) to gain useful experience around animals. Jr. Volunteers will have a structured schedule and work in many areas of the zoo. This will provide Jr. volunteers with a more well-rounded experience while providing valuable assistance to the zoo. Volunteers can be scheduled over the summer, on weekends, and after school. All volunteers must attend a short orientation, wear their shirt on-site, and dress appropriately. Visit the Texas Zoo website for more information or by clicking here.
