Closure is overrated, especially when you can turn your ex into a snack.
Valentine’s Day is finally here, and what better way to celebrate than....BEING PETTY. The Texas Zoo will have its Eat Your Ex fundraiser going on during Valentine's Day.

If someone broke your heart or ghosted you, this is your moment.

The concept is simple: be petty for a purpose. You get to name a roach or a very smelly fish after your ex… and then watch it get fed to one of the zoo’s animals. It’s healing and charitable, the winning duo.
Feedings will happen on February 14, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and you get to choose which animal does the honors. The Texas Zoo has a variety of choices, including river otters, black bears (noon–1 p.m. only), ducks, bearded dragons, and Nile monitors.
The day of purchase are $7 per feeding.

If you’re up for the dirty task, you can choose the in-person option, where you personally feed your “ex” to the animal. Now, if you would rather bask in the glory from afar, you can always pick the virtual route, and a zookeeper will do the dirty work for you. Yes, they will literally feed your ex “in your honor.”

It’s funny, it’s petty, and it supports The Texas Zoo at the same time.

Whether you’re single, thriving, or emotionally unavailable this Valentine’s Day, this might be the most satisfying form of closure you’ll find in Victoria.
