Come out for the Victoria Armadillos first scrimmage of the year!  The Armadillos will take the field at Riverside Stadium tomorrow morning at 9:30.  Admission is FREE.   Donations of canned goods or school supplies will be accepted at the gate.

Fans will get free Dr. Pepper and Ice Cream Soda to everyone who attends the scrimmage on Saturday, while supplies last. Mention you heard it on KIXS 108 and receive a $5 discount on an official Victoria Armadillos baseball cap.

The Victoria Armadillos will be following CDC guidelines so space will be limited, get there early.   The scrimmage will consist of all players who have tried out for a 6 inning scrimmage.  Victoria's very own Andre DelBosque and Victoria Generals alum Daniel Tunchez will be on the mound.

STJ graduate(GO BIG BLUE) Andre Del Bosque played at Temple Community College for two years and then had Tommy John surgery.  He then took the mound for the UHV Jaguars and was their closer during their 2014 season. He recorded 86 strikeouts in 71 innings and set a school record with 13 saves.

 He became the first player in the program's history to be selected in Major League Baseball's first-year player draft when he was picked by the New York Yankees in the 38th round.   He spent last season with Charleston, S.C. of the South Atlantic League and Staten Island of the New York-Penn League.
