“Didn’t Get Cracked” TikTok From Texas Cop Sparks Backlash
A Harris County deputy is under internal investigation after a TikTok she posted in uniform went viral for all the wrong reasons.
The now-deleted video is gone but not forgotten. TikTok user @ms.escaleraaa, who appears to be a Harris County Precinct 5 deputy, posted a video where she’s seen writing in a notepad while on duty.
Her name badge was fully visible, but pieces of her full uniform were blurred out, but not enough to prevent the internet recognizing her. However, the issue wasn't her outfit; it was actually what the on-screen text said:
“Didn’t get cracked last night, so everyone is getting a ticket…”
If you're wondering, yes, “cracked” in this context is slang for sex. So… the implication was:
No hookup = everyone's getting cited.
Internal Affairs Steps In
The video has since been deleted, but you already know there were massive amounts of screenshots that got reposted. The Precinct 5 Constable’s Office confirmed to FOX 26 that the video is under internal review:
“Our administration is aware, and internal affairs has opened an investigation.”
Translation: they’re not ignoring it, but they’re also not saying much else right now.
Also, her TikTok account is still active, and other posts show her in uniform doing viral trends. It’s unclear if those are part of the investigation, too, but it wouldn’t be surprising.
The Internet’s giving mixed reviews.
Online reactions have been split down the middle:
- Some people are calling it flat-out unprofessional, saying it damages trust in law enforcement.
- Others say she just showed poor judgment and that one TikTok doesn’t define someone’s ability to do their job.
No disciplinary actions have been announced, and as of Friday morning, the deputy hasn’t been publicly named.
