2 Men Captured After Unbelievable Million Dollar Houston Heist
A violent Texas fugitive on the run after a million-dollar Houston heist has been captured in Florida.
THE MASSIVE TEXAS JEWELRY HEIST
Just days ago Asdrubal Rodriquez was issued a warrant for aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon after a violent robbery in Houston, Texas. Rodriguez stole an estimated 1 million dollars but not without a fight.
In the process of robbing a jewelry store Rodriguez also:
- swiped 1 million dollars in jewelry
- pistol whipped a victim
- sprayed a victim with pepper spray
CAPTURING THE SUSPECT 1,500 MILES AWAY
A black Chevrolet Tahoe was spotted in Florida by deputies, the same vehicle used in the Houston robbery, just days prior. Deputies spotted two men in a parking lot loading groceries into the Tahoe. When they left deputies witnessed the vehicle roll past a stop sign.
Keeping a close eye on the vehicle, deputies finally conducted a traffic stop and discovered Asdrubal Rodriguez and Adrian Brook. A search warrant was issued and that's when a startling discovery was made.
DEPUTIES DISCOVER TRACES OF TEXAS ROBBERY INSIDE VEHICLE
While searching the vehicle, deputies found gold jewelry and nearly $79,000 in cash, all obtained from the Houston robbery. Rodriguez and Brook were arrested and booked for the robbery.
Rodriguez ultimately admitted to the robbery and all the violent action taken in the process.
