18 Pounds of Cocaine Found in Cheese at TX/MX Border
Drug smugglers will try to put drugs inside of anything to get them across the border! Their latest attempt includes cheese. According to Customs and Border Protection officers in Texas intercepted nearly 18 pounds of cocaine hidden inside large wheels of cheese. This happened at the Presido Port of Entry in the more rural areas near Big Bend state park as reported by abc13.com.
According to the article, Agents found four cheese wheels, which the driver had declared! However when the cheese wheels were scanned by an X-ray system which revealed some anomalies. CBP officers cut open the cheese and discovered seven bundles filled with cocaine, totaling 17.8 pounds. The drugs were seized and the truck driver, a 22-year-old U.S. citizen, was taken into custody.
