WE'VE UPPED THE ANTE - TAKE OUR POLL AND INGRA LEE HAS TO WATCH THE WINNING HORROR MOVIE BY YOUR VOTES FOR HALLOWEEN!

Being a bit old school we're going to need your help with figuring out which is the best horror movie from the first decade of 2000.

Around here, we are more familiar with horror movies from the 80s and 90s. Think Michael Myers from Halloween, Freddy Krueger from Nightmare on Elm Street and Ja-Ja-Jason ( read in a whisper) from Friday the 13th. The originals, not their sequels.

We scoured the internet for the most popular horror movies of every year in the first decade of 2000 and discovered we've only seen one of those movies. One of our theories for not having seen more of them is that we just sort of outgrew horror films, literally raising families and too busy watching Disney these last few years, but... if we are being honest, we were little kids in the 80s and movies like Halloween and Friday the 13th were so terrifying to watch as kids, we've naturally avoided horror movies ( like the plague) since then!  In other words, we found horror movies horrifying!

However, we're here to make you a deal. If you take the poll below and nominate which of the horror movies from the 2000's you liked the best from the ones we've selected- trailers included, we promise to watch the winning movie on Halloween night.

So without further adieu, here are some of the top horror movies from the first decade of 2000.

Enjoy the trailers and then vote on which one we will see on Halloween.

2000- Final Destination

2001- Jeepers Creepers

2002- The Ring

2003- Freddy Vs. Jason

2004- Saw

2005- Boogeyman

2006- Pan's Labyrinth

2007- Trick or Treat

2008- Quarantine

2009-Paranormal Activity

2010- The Last Exorcism

Okay after watching these ten trailers, maybe we should renegotiate the terms. You nominate your favorite horror film from the movies listed above and we will just take your word that it was scary, watching Mary Poppins on Halloween night instead. It's a deal!
