CVS Health announced Tuesday it would begin distributing COVID-19 vaccine doses at 70 pharmacies across Texas next week with appointment bookings hopefully becoming available as early as Feb. 9.

The trick is trying to find which location would be closer for Crossroads residents.

According to the CVS webpage FAQ which you can view here, varying Texas locations will begin to offer the vaccinations starting Feb. 11. It's unclear at this time if Victoria and surrounding counties will be one of the CVS stores close to our community to receive the COVID vaccine. However, a quick call to one of our local CVS indicated via recording that personnel at our local CVS did not have that information at this time.

Click2Houston offers, "Supply for the limited rollout will be approximately 38,000 total doses, according to a news release. Participating pharmacies are in communities throughout the state, including Houston, San Antonio, Abilene, Amarillo, Beaumont, Brownsville, El Paso, Laredo, Lubbock, Midland, Plano, and Waco.

However, as the supply becomes available, the company said it will expand to more locations and offer additional appointments.

Keep in mind, these COVID vaccines heading to Texas CVS Pharmacies are for eligible Tier 1A and Tier 1B candidates only, at this time.

Texans are not eligible to preregister for the vaccine today on the CVS website, but that will likely change as vaccines are delivered to Texas.

If you would like more information, you can contact CVS customer service: (800) 746-7287. Walk-in vaccinations without an appointment will not be provided.
