There are 5 active tropical systems in the Atlantic Basin, and as we begin a new work week we are up to our 20th named storm of the 2020 season according to the National Hurricane Center.

The closest storm to the Crossroads is Hurricane Sally which is expected to strengthen some and could become a Cat 2 hurricane over the next 12 to 24 hours. While Sally is expected to stay well east of Texas, it is rather heartbreaking to know our neighbors in Louisianna are in for it yet again.

Hurricane Storm Sally is expected to make landfall on Tuesday afternoon/evening. Sally could be a category 1 hurricane or a 2 by then. As of midday Monday, Sally was moving West North West at 6mph with maximum sustained winds at 65 MPH.
