Vegetarians Can Sue for Being Served Meat
A judge has ruled that a restaurant can be sued for serving meat to unsuspecting vegetarians.
The 16 plaintiffs, who are Hindus, had a party catered by Edison, New Jersey eatery Moghul Express. Instead of getting the vegetarian samosas they ordered, however, meat-filled samosas were delivered.
Because Hindus are strict vegetarians for whom eating meat is a sin, those who accidentally consumed the food want to sue for travel expenses to India so they can do a ritualistic cleansing of themselves in the Ganges River.
