The culmination of the hard work that all our 4-H and FFA exhibitors is paying off this week as we are in full swing at the 44th Victoria Livestock Show.

Spend your weekend enjoying the carnival, visiting vendors and of course joining the auction. After all, The Victoria Livestock Show is for the kids.
Founded by the Victoria Jaycees in 1947, the Victoria Livestock Show is the largest event held in Victoria and surrounding counties for that matter. Each year over 12,000 visitors visit the Victoria Livestock Show annually.
It is one of the few remaining livestock shows where 100% of the proceeds from each animal sold at the auction is paid to the 4-H/FFA Junior Exhibitors.

And this is really what the Victoria Livestock Show is all about.

The mission of the Victoria Livestock Show is to provide an opportunity for the youth of Victoria County to exhibit their 4-H and FFA projects, developing agricultural knowledge and leadership skills.

Robin Janecka, Marketing Publicity Chair of the Victoria Livestock Show says " We have about 200 volunteers who prepare for this event all year long, we wouldn't do it if we didn't believe we were making a difference for the kids, the community and our future. We raise over half a million dollars every year and that ALL goes back to the kids."
There are hundreds of youth participants in the show every year ages 8 to 18. Almost  300 of those youth make it to auction night.
