The Crossroads is looking at EXTREME HEAT ADVISORYS every day as well.

So if you live in the Crossroads you know it's hot, but did you know Victoria Texas is ranked 12th in the nation for hottest cities in the United States?

Victoria Texas ranks #12 in the TOP 50 Hottest Cities in the United States of America!

Amarillo, Lubbock, Port Arthur and Abilene made the list as well, in fact, a total of 17 Texas cities made the Top 50 list, with Del Rio beating Victoria out as #4. Still, it's pretty incredible to think of all of the states in the US, Victoria is in the Top 15. You can view the full list at or by clicking here.

According to the website, Victoria has been recorded as having over 100 days with at least a temperature of 90+ degrees.

Thirty years ago, I didn't factor the heat when I decided to move here! Did you?

Maybe it's because I've always been a Texas girl at heart, or maybe because I knew deep down that Victoria was going to be a hot ticket in the future! LOL

I just wasn't expecting it to be THIS HOT!

Can you guess what the hottest day in Victoria has been?

Just three years ago in 2000, Victoria temperatures reached a whopping 111 degrees before the heat index probably read it felt like 1,000 degrees!

With that in mind Crossroads, please take extra precautions if you work or spend time outside. When possible reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or evening.
