On tonight's (Nov. 14) live performance episode of 'X Factor,' the remaining contestants were tasked with performing diva songs. While the judges on these shows often steer contestants away from performing songs by Mariah, Whitney and Celine, they encouraged it tonight.

So how did the hopefuls do? Here's our team-by-team breakdown of the divaliciousness.

Jennel Garcia: She turned up the heat with Tina Turner's 'Proud Mary.' Tina would have been proud. She rebounded from last week's debacle and is legitimately back in the race.

Paige Thomas: The mini-diva performed Donna Summer's 'Last Dance.' She was deemed "karaoke" last week. This week, she was glittery and glam, like a disco ball exploded on stage.

CeCe Frey: The polarizing singer was in full, wind-blown diva mode with 'All by Myself.' Everyone but Lovato hated it.

Diamond White: She tore through Beyonce's 'Halo.' It's a hard song for anyone to sing, but all the judges loved her. We thought it was okay. She struggled to move and sing at once.

Beatrice Miller: The teen sang Cyndi Lauper's 'Time After Time,' and she sounded so much more mature than she is. It was a smoky rendition, and the judges were mixed.

Arin Ray: He sang Madonna's 'Crazy for You' while seated and suited. It was mostly a cappella, although he was accompanied by a lilting piano in some parts. It wasn't a $5 million performance. The judges were bored, except for Brit Brit.

Carly Rose Sonenclar: She blew us away with Celine Dion's 'My Heart Will Go On.' L.A. Reid said we could be looking at the Season 2 winner.

Lyric145: This was a hard one for them, since they are a high energy hip-hop ensemble without much room for diva vocals. But they turned in a bumpin' version of Queen's 'We Will Rock You' mashed up with Katy Perry's 'E.T.' They're a love-it-or-hate-it type.

Fifth Harmony: The ladies went big with Mariah Carey's 'Hero.' They could be the next One Direction.

Emblem3: The boys tackled Alicia Keys' 'No One.' But they didn't do it diva-style. They turned in a beachy, boy band rendition. Since that's what they are.

TEAM L.A. REID:

Tate Stevens: He was atop the leaderboard in fan votes last week, so 'X Factor' viewers are feeling country music. He did Shania Twain's 'From This Moment' and it was better than last week. If you recall, he was atop the leaderboard in fan votes.

Vino Alan: The tattooed singer hit Tina Turner's 'Let's Stay Together.' He is pretty much the male equivalent of a diva. His voice is designed for "a moment," but Cowell didn't think this performance was that moment.
