Disabled Texas Teen Lost On The Streets Houston For 3 Weeks
A Houston father is beyond relieved after his missing son was found safe and sound.
16-year-old Mauricio Reyes found himself lost for days on the streets of Houston.
"I was living under a bridge," Mauricio revealed.
With a mental disability, he relied on the kindness of workers at a nearby tire shop for survival.
TIRE SHOP OWNER APPROACHED
Jose Madrid, the shop owner, recounted Mauricio's visits. "He asked for food and water. I offered him a burger, and we talked," Madrid shared. Mauricio confided in Madrid about his fear after breaking a window on his dad's van.
As days passed, the tire shop workers grew accustomed to Mauricio's presence, providing him with food, clothing, and shoes. Despite their efforts, Mauricio remained on the streets, unable to recall his phone number or address.
