City of Victoria Needs Volunteer for Parks & Recreation Roles
The City of Victoria is inviting residents to play a direct role in shaping the future of its parks and recreation spaces by applying to serve on the Parks & Recreation Commission.
The City Council is currently seeking to appoint three residents to the commission. Each appointee will serve a three-year term, helping guide decisions that affect parks, recreational programming, and community facilities throughout Victoria.
The Parks & Recreation Commission provides recommendations to the City Council on matters related to city parks and recreational services. From new amenities to park upgrades, the commission’s input helps ensure that Victoria’s outdoor spaces continue to meet the needs of residents of all ages.
The commission meets at 5 p.m. on the second Monday of each month at the City Council Chambers, located at 107 W. Juan Linn St.
