If you’re anywhere in South Texas, enjoy the afternoon sunshine while you can.

The sun might sneak through the sky for a few hours and temperatures will feel like summer, fluctuating between the upper 80s or near 90. However, don’t get too comfortable.

Power outages happened across the cities and now that most are restored, get ready for some more disturbing weather. Another round of storms is already on the way by late Wednesday night.

The National Weather Service has San Antonio under a Level 2 out of 5 risk for severe weather. Starting around 10 or 11 p.m., expect heavy rain, possible large hail, and strong wind gusts. These storms will move slowly, which means flash flooding is a real concern. Some spots could see over 4 inches of rain. If you're out late, don’t take chances, and remember, if you see large pools of water on the road: turn around, don't drown.

The storm threat sticks around into early Thursday morning and might even linger into the afternoon. Rain chances sit around 50-60%, but the biggest worry is for already-soaked areas that could see more flash flooding.

Remember though this is still Texas, so temperatures could get up to 90 degrees with lows in the mid-70s.

By the weekend, the storms should ease up, with just a few pop-ups possible. The heat? That’s coming back in full force, with highs climbing into the mid-90s by Saturday.

So if you're trying to dress for the weather, break out the shorts but keep the rain boots nearby.
