A Texas man suffered a near-fatal machete attack after being discovered with another man's wife.
POLICE RUSH TO THE SCENE
The attack took place late Monday night, around 11:11 p.m., prompting San Antonio Police to rush to the scene on the 1800 block of Mossy Creek, close to Marbach Road, following reports of the assault.
THE HORRIFIC ALTERCATION
Upon arrival, officers encountered a 31-year-old man with severe injuries; his hand was almost severed.
Investigations revealed that the assailant, a 39-year-old man estranged from his wife, had acted on suspicions of infidelity. Believing his wife to be unfaithful, he went to her residence, where he found her in the company of the victim.
In a fit of rage, the husband wielded a machete, striking the victim on the wrist with such force that it nearly amputated the man's hand.
Emergency services promptly transported the victim to University Hospital, where he was listed in serious condition. The incident underscores the tragic consequences of domestic disputes escalating to violence.
