Texas Twins Desperately Search For Help After Escaping Torture

A disturbing video shows two tragically desperate twins searching for help.
DESPERATELY SEARCHING FOR HELP
A set of young teenage twins, a boy, and a girl, were seen on home surveillance cameras desperately asking for help late one night in Cypress. The teens spent around 30 minutes going door to door pleading for help, flashing their cuts and the girl is seen holding up the handcuffs they broke out of.
SHARING THEIR HEARTBREAKING DETAILS
Finally, one woman let the twins inside and heard about their heartbreaking situation. The kind woman called the Constable and gave the kids a blanket and food. "They were so skinny and so frail. They just looked like they had been through a lot," the woman explained.
In the video, you can see how malnourished the twins were. In one clip you can see the bones popping out of the boy's back.
As they waited for help, the teens admitted that they were only fed one sandwich a day- but only if they were quiet. When investigators arrived the twins started to share more tragic information.
ABUSED BY THEIR OWN MOTHER
Aside from almost being starved, they admitted they weren't allowed to use the toilet and were forced to drink their own urine and live surrounded by feces in the laundry room. The woman who let the kids inside began to choke up as she expressed her anger, "How a mother could do this to her kids and... I feel like my tears are out of frustration, anger, and sadness."
You could visibly see how abused the children were. Their wrists are covered in cuts and scabs all around and their arms are bruised and scarred. "They told me that their mom kept them locked in the laundry room, naked, zip tied from the ankles and handcuffed from the wrist," the woman harboring them said.
SEARCHING FOR THE SUSPECTS
Once police arrived they quickly went to the children's home. When deputies arrived no one was home, including five other children who were supposed to be in the home. An AMBER alert was issued and the couple and other children were soon found in a nearby state.
Zaikiya Duncan, 40, and Jova Terrell, 27, were arrested in Baton Rouge. The other children were also with them and placed in CPS custody.
A DISGUSTING HISTORY OF ABUSE
According to past Louisiana court documents, this is not the first time Duncan has been involved in a child abuse case. A, then 5-year-old, child of Duncan's was taken from school to a local hospital to be treated for burns to his feet, genitals, and other parts of his body. He also had cuts and bruises to his torso, back, hip and buttocks.
Doctors determined it was likely the result of being burned by hot water.
