Sheriff's Office in Waller County received a disturbing call for an incredibly gruesome crime in their small rural town.

Waller County is located near Houston in a rural part of southeast Texas. This relatively small rural town did not expect to wake up and learn about an extraordinarily violent crime committed in their community.

Waller County Sheriff's Office received word of a young woman found dead inside her home. When law enforcement arrived they walked into a disturbing crime scene. 

A DECEASED WOMANS BODY

Laying on the floor was a 21-year-old woman, dead and without a head. The deceased woman's body was discovered in the couple's home by her husband's family, who then contacted the Sherrif's Department.

The woman's head had been cut off. Her body was left inside the home, it is unclear if the head was recovered. The woman's name has not yet been released and law enforcement continues to work the case.

TOP SUSPECT TAKEN INTO CUSTODY

According to the Sheriff's Office, the woman's 20-something-year-old husband is their top suspect and was taken into custody.
