Texas Woman Sentenced To Death After Killing a Woman For Her Womb

More than two years have passed since the horrific slaying of a Texas woman and her unborn child.

A MOTHER AND CHILD DEAD

On Oct. 9, 2020, 21-year-old Reagan Simmons-Hancock was found brutally slain in her home. Police arrived and found Reagan “slashed” hundreds of times and beaten. Heartbreakingly, her three-year-old daughter was home while her mother was killed.

Aside from being slashed and beaten Reagan had her pregnant belly ripped open and her unborn baby ripped out of her body. 

A SICK AND TWISTED LIE

29-year-old, Taylor Parker, was having relationship problems when she formulated a twisted plan. She faked a pregnancy to keep her boyfriend. However, the lies continued to build and Parker kept up with the façade, prosecutors said she faked ultrasounds and even had a gender-reveal party.

THE LAST DARK AND TWISTED STEP

Parker's lies began stacking up and finally, she had one last deadly step. On October 9, Parker murdered Reagan Simmons-Hancock, slashed her stomach open, and stole her baby straight from its womb.

Parker quickly hopped in a car and took off, but not long after, she was pulled over for speeding and driving erratically, she told the State Trooper she had just given birth that morning. 

The baby, Braxlynn Sage Hancock, was taken to a hospital where she was sadly pronounced dead. “My baby was alive still fighting for her babies when you tore her open and ripped her baby from her stomach,” Reagan's mother, Jessica Brooks said.

SENTENCING HAS COME TO AN END

Finally, the sentencing against Taylor Parker has come to an end. Jurors were shown a crime scene photo of Reagan Simmons-Hancock soaked in blood on the floor. She told jurors that Parker needed to be sentenced to death because she’s a danger. The Texas jury has just sentenced Taylor Parker to death for the killings.
