Walmart to Start Taking Employees Temperatures
According to a report, Walmart will start taking their employees temperatures when they report to work. If they have a fever of at least 100 degrees, they will tell them to stay home or to seek medical care. Walmart says it has also ordered masks for their employees and will offer masks and gloves for them to wear, if they choose.
Walmart will ship infrared thermometers to all stores, distribution, and fulfillment centers. Walmart has also said that they would pay employees for up to two weeks if they become infected with coronavirus and possibly longer if the employee was not able to return to work.
Walmart to add 150,000 jobs during coronavirus pandemic
Walmart has confirmed that they have already hired nearly 50,000 new workers as of late Monday and is averaging about 5,000 new hires per day. They might easily surpass 150,000 new employees.
