Hold onto your hats (and scarf), Texas! Another arctic blast is headed our way, and this one promises to be even colder than last week’s frosty surprise.

If you’ve been dreaming of snow days and sipping hot cocoa by the fire, this could be your moment.

Starting late Friday night in North Texas and rolling through South Texas by Saturday afternoon, temperatures will plummet faster than a popsicle on a hot day. By Sunday morning, most of our cities will wake up to freezing temps—and that’s just the beginning.

How Cold Are We Talking?

Oh it's getting cold COLD- think teens in North Texas and 20s in South Texas. Monday and Tuesday are shaping up to be the chilliest days, with highs in some areas barely crawling above freezing. Oh, and don't forget about wind chill!

According to the National Weather Service, "An arctic airmass will bring drastically colder temperatures and wind chills this weekend into early next week."

Will We See Snow?

Here’s the exciting part: snow and ice are possible. The best chance for snowy weather is Monday and Tuesday. We don’t know how much yet, but it’s time to cross your fingers.

Remember Last Week?

If you loved (or survived) the icy roads and frosty rooftops last week, this weekend’s arctic front will feel like deja vu—only colder. And while it’s still too early to predict exactly what’s coming, one thing’s for sure: Texas is in for a wild weather ride.

So, stock up on hot chocolate, dig out your cozy blankets, and get ready! Winter might be short in Texas, but it sure knows how to make an entrance!
