Chilling TX Woman Tries Kidnapping 4 Year Old Child Inside Store
The world can be a dark scary place. As parents, we try not to imagine the worse but we should stay prepared. A San Antonio mother found herself in the middle of what seems to only be something you hear about, but never experience yourself.
A QUICK TRIP TO WALMART
A woman in San Antonio got her two young daughters ready and headed to their local Walmart. The family began walking around the store going from aisle to aisle.
One of the young girls held onto the shopping cart handles while her four-year-old sister was pushed around as she sat inside the shopping cart. The mother stopped pushing the cart and began browsing around the aisle. As the mother was looking for her items a woman crept around nearby.
A NEARBY WOMAN DOES SOMETHING ALARMING
When 35-year-old Jessica Vega noticed the two little girls' mother had briefly taken her attention away from the cart she did something unimaginable. With the four-year-old still sitting inside the shopping cart, Vega quickly yanked the cart away from the other sister and began walking away.
The girl's mother quickly noticed at began screaming at Vega who was walking away with her young child still in the basket. Noticing the alarming situation, a loss prevention officer quickly intervened. The mother grabbed her other child from the cart and escaped a much scarier situation.
EERIE REMARKS ON HER WAY OUT
According to the affidavit, Vega told the woman, “just because she’s yours doesn’t mean I can’t take her,” and then walked out of the store. The loss prevention officer recognized Vega from a previous incident in a different Walmart location.
Jessica Vega was arrested and charged with attempted kidnapping.
