She doesn’t post much. She rarely does interviews. But University of Texas softball player Mia Scott just did something so wild, it’s going viral for something most players would never even attempt.

During UT’s Senior Day 12-3 win over Kentucky, Scott pulled off one of the rarest moves in softball: she played all nine positions on the field. That means third base, shortstop, outfield, first, second, catcher and yes, even pitcher.

All Nine Positions? In One Game? Yep.

“To play every position is special,” said Texas coach Mike White. “It was kind of exciting to see.”

Even crazier? It wasn’t pre-planned. Mia casually told her coach right before the game that she wanted to try it. He shrugged and let her go for it.

“She’s never pitched in a game before in her life that I know of,” White added. "So to battle that, do a great job, get a couple strikes and get an out, it impressed me."

Her Teammates Were Just as Surprised

There wasn’t any official order. Scott simply rotated around the field each inning, and even her teammates didn’t see it coming.

“I was like, ‘Oh, so we’re gonna play all positions today,’” said first baseman Joley Mitchell, laughing about the moment Scott swapped spots with her mid-game.

What This Really Says About Mia Scott

Mia Scott already leads the Longhorns in doubles this season, but now she leads in versatility, too. Pulling this off takes guts, talent, and serious awareness of the game.

Whether you’re a hardcore softball fan or totally new to college sports, one thing is clear: Mia Scott just gave Texas one of the coolest moments of the season.
