While most Texans might not agree, it is a pretty big honor to come in second in the United States.  In a study by Dunnhumby, H-E-B came in second place behind only Amazon. This report included other big-time retailers like Trader Joe’s, Costco, Sam’s Club, Walmart, and Target also.  The report states, “H-E-B maintained its spot at number two, continuing to display its strategic superiority over the competition by holding its ground on its traditionally strong balance of great Price perception and great Quality perception.” Congratulations, H-E-B!

JUST ANOTHER DAY AT THE OFFICE AT H-E-B:

H-E-B has recently placed 3rd in the United States for best places to work, according to an article by click2houston.  Back in July HEB scored another award with a mystery shopping study that ranked nationwide brands on their fulfillment of online orders for pickup. H-E-B ranked first in the grocery store category, beating Publix and Aldi.

H-E-B TAKES REALLY GOOD OF THEIR EMPLOYEES:

We see so many stories about employees working  35 years and over. However, this one takes the cake.  Ofelia Garcia has worked for the H-E-B for 56 years, which makes her H-E-B's longest-running retail employee in the history of the grocery chain!  She was not only celebrated by H-E-B but also by the City of Austin which declared that Dec. 22  as Ofelia Garcia Day in the City of Austin.

Earlier this year, H-E-B was featured on Ellen. Ellen showcased H-E-B taking care of Texans, and they're donating an incredible $1 million to Feeding Texas, supporting food banks throughout Texas. Read the story here.
