VIDEO: Guy Rescues Phone From San Antonio River in Dramatic Fashion
Over the past couple of months, I have seen this a few different times. People are jumping into the river at the San Antonio Riverwalk to retrieve their phones, which is something that you shouldn't do. It's not only gross, but it's also illegal!
However, a man recently entered the San Antonio River to retrieve his phone, and he was actually successful in his mission. He even got help from a friendly stranger.
Another phone was rescued from the San Antonio riverwalk.
After the phone was retrieved, he posed for onlookers as they cheered him on. He looks like he just won a championship. It seems like a little alcohol made this even more entertaining! Thanks to TikTok, we get a video with multiple angles.

How much is the fine if you get caught in the San Antonio River?
If you are ticketed for this offense, the fine could be up to $500. A San Antonio city ordinance states that you cannot jump, wade, swim, or even touch the San Antonio Riverwalk. So, it's technically illegal! Even if you are just trying to rescue your cellphone.
Back in November, a woman went viral for the way she jumped in the San Antonio River.
In November of last year, a woman also retrieved her phone from the river. However, she took her shoes off and actually got into the water.
