It's time for another Throwback Thursday story. The season 8 finale of the Taytripper, which aired on June 3, 2017, featured our hometown of Victoria, Texas.  Host, Chet Garner made stops at the Museum of the Coastal Bend, Texas Zoo, Moonshine Drinkery, and Mumphords BBQ, just to name a few.  You can find the full Victoria episode on the daytripper website.

Since I am a foodie, I really enjoyed the segment on Mumphord's.  In the segment, Keith and Ricky Mumphord share how they learned to Bar B Que. He also shares his secret to good BBQ. He also shares his family of pits, which he has also named.  Chet samples some brisket, sausage, and ribs. Relive the clip by watching below. On the Youtube video, Chet hints that Mumphords ribs could be the best in Texas.  That episode also featured the oldest Delicatessen in the state, Fossati's. SEE THE MUMPHORDS CLIP BELOW.

Not only is it home to Victoria’s Great Coastal Texas Barbecue Trail, which is considered one of the best in the Country.  Victoria is one of the oldest cities in Texas and has a wealth of fascinating history and a number of important historic sites including many that are still being used today.
